Slash Exploration

The "/" as Brand Element

Six treatments of the separator. Gradient runs from text colour (white/black) to accent (purple) in both themes. Toggle to compare.

PeerLabs / AIP
A. Current (baseline)
Plain "/" in --text-muted. No weight, no gradient.
PeerLabs / AIP
B. Heavy + vertical gradient
Font "/" at bold weight. Gradient top-to-bottom: text to accent.
PeerLabs / AIP
C. Heavy + angled gradient (160deg)
Gradient follows the slash angle. Feels more intentional.
PeerLabs AIP
D. CSS-drawn bar (3px)
Not a font character. Custom width, angle, rounded ends. Precise control.
PeerLabs AIP
E. CSS-drawn bar (4px, heavier)
Thicker version of D. More presence, reads as a deliberate divider.
PeerLabs AIP
F. Vertical pipe (gradient)
Vertical bar instead of angled slash. Different feel entirely -- more structured.

Gradient "Labs" + Pipe: Explorations

Gradient on "Labs" flowing from accent to a secondary tone. Combined with the pipe separator.

PeerLabs AIP
G1. Labs: accent to light purple (135deg)
Subtle lift. "Labs" gains dimension without losing the purple identity.
PeerLabs AIP
G2. Labs: text colour to accent (135deg)
Mirrors the pipe gradient. "Peer" bleeds into "Labs" through the colour transition.
PeerLabs AIP
G3. Labs: lavender to deep purple (160deg)
More dramatic range. The L is lighter, the s is darker.
PeerLabs AIP
G4. Labs: indigo-blue to accent (135deg)
Cooler start. Adds chromatic range without leaving the purple family.
PeerLabs AIP
G5. Labs: light-to-dark vertical (matches pipe)
Gradient direction matches the pipe. Unified light-to-dark flow.
PeerLabs AIP
G6. Both: Peer fades slightly, Labs lavender-to-deep
Full gradient wordmark. Peer has subtle fade; Labs has the colour range. Most "designed" feel.

G3 Refinement: Subtle Glow on "Peer"

G3 Labs gradient locked in. Testing glow intensity on "Peer" -- from barely-there to just-noticeable.

PeerLabs AIP
H1. Ghost glow (8% + 4%)
Almost imperceptible. Barely tints the anti-aliased edges. You feel it more than see it.
PeerLabs AIP
H2. Whisper glow (12% + 6%)
Visible on dark theme if you look for it. On light theme barely registers. Sweet spot candidate.
PeerLabs AIP
H3. Soft glow (18% + 8%)
Noticeable halo on dark. Connects "Peer" to the purple system without colouring the letters themselves.
PeerLabs AIP
H4. Tight glow (14% + 6%, smaller radius)
Hugs the letterforms more closely. Less atmospheric, more typographic.
PeerLabs AIP
H5. Tinted trailing edge + glow
The "r" picks up a faint purple tint where it meets "L". Glow reinforces. Most cohesive transition.
PeerLabs AIP
G3 Baseline (no glow, for comparison)
Flat "Peer" with no purple influence. Compare against H1-H5 above.
